Love you enough to kill
Chapter 9
~*~
I found out later that week that the party was taking place on a Sunday night at ten o¡¦clock. And guess what? I was going to go. I didn¡¦t tell Tina and Amanda this of course. Well I know I wasn¡¦t invited but I had a plan up my sleeve, but I will tell you about it later.
So on Sunday night I told my mum I wasn¡¦t going to be at home with her. She asked me why and I just told her I was going to Amanda¡¦s house, which I wasn¡¦t. I was ready by 9:45. I had decided to wear a black top and trousers and tied my hair in a ponytail. I looked great. I got downstairs, said bye to my mum and went outside to the car, but I quickly went back inside because I realized that I had forgotten my handbag and quickly went back outside to the car because I was running late.
Chantal¡¦s house was five blocks away from mine, so it took me thirty minutes to get there. But I got there and parked my car in a corner so no one would see. I got out of the car and walked towards her house. It was a really big house because her dad was a really rich man, and she was treated like a fairy tale princess because she was the youngest.
There were a lot of people at the party and they were mostly from the school. When I got to the backyard, where the pool was, I didn¡¦t see Shane, Mandy, or Chantal. So I went inside the house and found the three of them sitting together and talking. Chantal and Mandy were doing most of the talking, probably just to cheer him up, but it wasn¡¦t working because Shane just kept quiet.
The party was really cool, but once again I stayed in a corner trying not to be noticed and keeping my eyes on Chantal and Mandy. I didn¡¦t have to worry about Shane because he was like a paralyzed person at the party. I was distracted a few times because a few guys from school had asked me to dance, so I had to dance with them but I quickly drew my attention back to Chantal and Mandy once the dance was over. Then I saw them finally leaving Shane, I guess they gave up trying to talk to him. They went upstairs to Chantal¡¦s room carrying some drinks. I followed them. I went in soon after they shut the door, I guess they were in her bathroom doing their makeup because I heard voices coming from there. Then I saw the two drinks on the table and I walked towards them and took something out of my bag------rat poison.
I had brought two bottles of it from my garage (we usually had rats at our place). I opened the two bottles and I poured one bottle into each cup and mixed it. You see that was my plan. Then I quickly hid inside the closet. After a minute or two, Chantal and Mandy came out. I had to make sure they drank their drinks¡Kand they did, each and every drop. The rat poison didn¡¦t affect the taste of the drink and it would start taking effect on them in a few minutes. I smiled at my success and I went out of the room and back downstairs to the party.
Chantal and Mandy were swimming in the pool when they lost consciousness and sank down the water. People around the pool thought that they were just competing to see who could hold their breaths longer underwater, so they started cheering for them. But after a few minutes two guys from the football team realized that something must have been wrong because they had been down there for more than ten minutes, so they dived down to pull them up and found out that they were dead. A girl called the police and Chantal¡¦s parents who were taking a vacation in Malibu. She also called Mandy¡¦s parents who came over a few minutes later. It was a hectic moment, but I left right after the police arrived and went straight home.
I had done it again and no one would ever know. Life was not good when things don¡¦t go your way, but it was great when you made them go your way.
The police questionings started the next day. This time I told them that I was at the party but left early, while Tina and Amanda said that they stayed home. The two of them were quite surprised when I told the police that I was at the party.
¡§How come you went and didn¡¦t tell us?¡¨ asked Tina.
¡§I don¡¦t know,¡¨ I shrugged. ¡§I had nothing to do so I decided to go.¡¨
¡§Okay?¡¨ they both said in a suspicious way.
I know I shouldn¡¦t have lied to them but I had no other choice. I¡¦ve never lied so much in my life. I mean I lied to my mum, my two best friends and the police. But I didn¡¦t care, I was happy and that was all that mattered. Right?
